Voice Commands Setup — Control Games with Speech in PlayAbility Adaptive Software

Goal:

Add quick voice shortcuts for your most common game actions. Voice inputs are ideal for commands like jumping, pausing, or reloading while your head or face manages other movements.

Overview:

PlayAbility recognizes custom words and phrases that you define (like “jump”, “reload”, or “boost”).

Each word acts as a virtual button press, automatically sending the mapped output to your game.

Examples:

  • “Jump” → Spacebar
  • “Reload” → X button
  • “Boost” → Right Trigger
  • “Pause” → Start menu
