📥 Installing the playAbility desktop application:

Dowload the playAbility application (Select the .exe file of the latest version).

| Since our application is not yet signed by a code, you may encounter alerts or warnings from Windows during this process. This is expected behavior, and you can safely proceed with the installation by granting permissions to the application.

🎮 Create Your First Controller Configuration

To create your virtual gamepad, simply map actions with each button: movements of your face, keys on your keyboard, clicks of your mouse…

Launch :

Launch:

Activate Facial Recognition
Configure a Button:

Click on the button you want to map.
Select: Face landmark to trigger it with a facial movement. Keyboard to trigger it with a keyboard key. Mouse to trigger it with a mouse click.
Choose the action that will trigger the button.
Adjust the sensitivity.
Save by clicking on save

Activate Your Controller: Before testing or playing, make sure the switch at the bottom right, Start Gamepad, is activated.

It should display "pause gamepad" if it is properly activated.

Test Your New Button:

Trigger the associated action and check that the corresponding button turns purple on the gray controller on the right.
Make sure your controller is not paused: click on "start gamepad" at the bottom right to start your controller.

By default, Windows limits webcams to be used by only one software at a time. But fear not, OBS comes to the rescue.

2. 🎬 Setting Up the Scene:

Create a new scene collection named "Next Camera".
Integrate your camera under the 'video capture device' option.
Lock the camera source in the scene, ensuring it remains intact, free from any inadvertent filter that might interfere with playAbility's facial recognition.

3. 🎨 Proper Application of Filters:

Add filters to the "Next Camera" scene, not directly to the video source. This method ensures that your changes in OBS do not affect the image transmitted to Playability.

4. 🔗 Linking Playability and OBS:

Activate the "Start Virtual Camera" function in OBS.
Go to the OBS settings, represented by a gear-shaped icon. From there, go to "Sources" then to "Video capture device" or the name of your specific camera source.
Launch Playability after the above configurations. If your USB video does not appear, simply select "OBS Virtual Camera" from the available options.
Activate "Facial Detection" in Playability, making the necessary adjustments to the settings.
