Keyboard Actions — Map Alternative Inputs to Keys in PlayAbility
Goal:
Control PC games or applications by simulating any keyboard key through your chosen inputs.
Overview:
Keyboard Actions let you bind any PlayAbility trigger — face, head, mouse, or voice — to standard keys, including letters, arrows, function keys, or modifiers.
Available Keys:
- Letters & Numbers: A–Z, 0–9
- Navigation: Arrows, Home, End, PageUp, PageDown
- Modifiers: Shift, Ctrl, Alt, Windows
- Specials: Space, Enter, Escape, Tab, Backspace, Delete
- Function Keys: F1–F12
Examples:
jawOpen→ Space (Jump)smileRight→ Ctrl (Shoot)nod→ Enter (Confirm)voice “Pause”→ Escape (Menu)
Tips for Best Results:
- Use Short Press for quick taps (e.g., jump).
- Combine with Multi-Event Triggers to avoid accidental activation.
- Works great with PC-only titles that don’t support controllers.
- You can mix keyboard and gamepad outputs in the same profile.
