Keyboard Actions — Map Alternative Inputs to Keys in PlayAbility

Goal:

Control PC games or applications by simulating any keyboard key through your chosen inputs.

Overview:

Keyboard Actions let you bind any PlayAbility trigger — face, head, mouse, or voice — to standard keys, including letters, arrows, function keys, or modifiers.

Available Keys:

  • Letters & Numbers: A–Z, 0–9
  • Navigation: Arrows, Home, End, PageUp, PageDown
  • Modifiers: Shift, Ctrl, Alt, Windows
  • Specials: Space, Enter, Escape, Tab, Backspace, Delete
  • Function Keys: F1–F12

Examples:

  • jawOpen → Space (Jump)
  • smileRight → Ctrl (Shoot)
  • nod → Enter (Confirm)
  • voice “Pause” → Escape (Menu)

Tips for Best Results:

  • Use Short Press for quick taps (e.g., jump).
  • Combine with Multi-Event Triggers to avoid accidental activation.
  • Works great with PC-only titles that don’t support controllers.
  • You can mix keyboard and gamepad outputs in the same profile.
